About Couronne Imperiale Blue Gold :
In collaboration with “The Shangri-La Hotel, Paris”, Haviland created the “Couronne Impériale”, a table service in porcelain ornamented with motifs, reminiscent of the neoclassical architecture of the Parisian palace. Originally, the Shangri-La Hotel, Paris was home to Prince Roland Bonaparte, the grandnephew of Napoleon Bonaparte. In tribute to the family of the Emperor, mouldings, architectural details and furniture were decorated with Napoleonic symbols, such as the bee, the eagle and the Imperial crown. This royal pattern with a refined design is made of a relief in matt gold on a celadon blue background, in line with the curtains of the hotel’s historic living room. A genuine French table service, the “Couronne Impériale” is full of history and imperial symbols
